The bike was mostly assembled out of the box. It took me less than half an hour to finish the assembly and make all of the necessary adjustments. It is fairly straightforward and intuitive to put together, so I probably could have done it without even looking at the instruction booklet!! The bike is very sturdy and well built, and the tires are a standard 27.5", so replacement tubes will be readily available locally when I need them.

I have the large version of the bike. The medium size says it is good for people up to 5'8", and the large up to 6'4". I am 6'2" and this is more than big enough for me. No matter your height, the step-through frame makes it easy to mount and dismount. The weight is a little heavier than a standard bike because of the battery, but is still only about 50 pounds. I do not notice the weight at all while riding, even without pedal assist.

There are multiple levels of pedal assist, from partial to full, as well as the option to ride without any assist at all. I use the e-bike to extend my normal rides from the 20 miles I used to ride to 30-40 now. Half of the time I use no assist at all, and then increase the amount of assist based on how my legs feel. The instructions say you can get 50 miles of assist out of the battery, and I usually have 65-70% of charge left when I get home, so that is probably accurate.

The on-board computer not only tells me how much charge I have, but also the speed I am traveling and the distance. After riding, there are also summaries of the average speed, the distance, etc. I never tracked these things before, so it is interesting to learn these things and have metrics that I can improve upon. Having access to this data encourages me to ride more. Riding a bike is a low impact exercise that improves your mobility and overall health. E-bikes make it more accessible for everyone, even those that think they don't have the stamina to ride at all. Any movement is better than no movement, and as you progress into longer rides and build up strength, you can use less and less assist, adjusting as needed.
